So you may be asking yourself…

What are this?

Level Up is a 18+ cosplay party for people of all fandoms and levels of costume skills to come together and party. If you enjoy dressing up, dancing to cartoon theme tunes from your childhood and talking with other geek minded people this event is for you!

Cosplay is defined as dressing as a character from fiction, whether it’s books, films, cartoons, comics or video games. Cosplay has grown over the years in popularity and is well know in mainstream media. This is your opportunity to party, meet new people and (most importantly) cosplay!

Who are this?

Nathan is a cartoon junkie who listens to way too many podcasts. He took his first steps in the world of anime conventions in 2006 and hasn’t stopped.  Though this is his first time running a cosplay event he’s had much experience in the past with running different events, mostly for the LGBTQ+ community.

Favourite cosplays :- Howl from Howl’s Moving Castle, Magnus and Taako from The Adventure Zone.

Mart has been raised on a rich diet of Gerry Anderson shows, his Amstrad CPC, and Sonic the Hedgehog comics. His first cosplay debut was in 2007 and since then he’s been part of a variety of conventions in the UK and overseas.

Favourite cosplays :- Link from Legend of Zelda, Luke fon Fabre from Tales of the Abyss

When are this?

14th of April 2018. Doors open from 9:30pm.

Where are this?

The Old Market Assembly, Bristol. Address, maps and directions can be found on our Location page.

Why are this?

Pretty much for nostalgia. We both have fond memories of cosplay club nights back in our younger days and want to offer the same to the new crowds of fans as our community grows bigger. Cosplay doesn’t have to be saved just for conventions, Expos and those random times in your own bedroom.
